Yesterday, the boys and I went with Jen and Hayden to the Heard Nature Museum in McKinney. They are having their big dino exhibit right now. The dinosuars move, make noises and one even spit water at you as you walked by. If I had not been to Zilker just last week to that Dino exhibit, I probably would have thought this one was pretty cool. It just did not compare to Dinoland though. The boys liked it though, the weather was great and the indoor part of the museum was hands on and awesome. All kinds of stuff to touch and look at. They also had a snake exhibit that we briefly looked at...Memy would have loved it! :) We ended up talking to the man who owns the exhibit and he said he had just gotten out of the hospital after being there for over a month recovering from a snake bite that put him on a ventilator. Some type of rattle snake that effects your nervous system, not your blood. Yikes! I told him that would have been a career ender in the snake business for me.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Carson checking out the T-Rex
Carson with a brown bear. Oh, they also had a bee hive that you could see into (it was like a flat panel and you could look at it from either side)...probably like the one Molly told us about in that store in Calistoga. Carson was fascinated by that - pretty cool!
Walking into the mouth of a huge snake...painted on the wall inside was all the body parts of a snake. Again, Memy you REALLY missed out! Don't worry...next time you are here we will take you!

The trek to see the dinosaurs looked neat, though I do think the ones at
Zilker were more realistic looking.
Two awfully cute little boys, though!
Thanks for looking for the recipe.
Emily thought the tattoo a little extreme, so guess I will wait on that
and see if I can hang on to the
recipe this time. I'm going to tape it to the inside of my recipe box.
How was the soccer game?
Love, Yaya
Amy, No thanks on the snake exhibit. I'm glad you had fun though. How did you make your blog cute?
