Saturday night as we were getting the kids ready for bed, our doorbell rang...when we opened the door, this was waiting on the front porch for us! Carson was SO excited! This is a fun tradition that our neighborhood does every year..."Boo'ing" each other. Once Boo'ed you are suppose to hang the ghost on your door (so everyone knows you have already been Boo'ed), then Boo two other families. So, after church on Sunday, we went to Target and loaded up on fun Halloween treats. Carson agonized ALL day about who to "BOO"...it changed about 10 times. Once it got dark, Carson and I set out to "BOO" the Mercers and the Bensons. Carson decided it had to be someone who was home so we could hide behind the mailboxes and watch them come out and discover their treat. He had SO MUCH FUN doing this. I am sure they could hear him giggling...we weren't the sneakiest Boo'ers ever! :)
The other fun part of this is that you aren't supposed to tell the person you Boo'ed them until Halloween. Well, 5 year olds can't wait! Carson came home from school on Monday and announced that he knew who had Boo'ed us...Sam spilled the beans that day at school!
I love fun stuff like this...it is what childhood memories are made of!
