Carson had his first golf lesson last night. He is going to be in a "golf development" program in the fall for K-8th graders started by the golf coach at Liberty H.S. (the high he will eventually attend)...pretty smart to start working on your golf team as early as possible! He will have 6 one on one lessons with Coach Sims (the gentleman in the pictures) and then one hour after school once a week during the school year. When Coach Sims thinks he is ready, he will be teamed up with 3 other kids (with the same skills/ ability) and they will play in a golf tournament once a month. Carson is really excited about this...and so are we! We are trying to "push" golf as much as possible...anything to keep him OFF the football field (at least that is Mama's plan!).
He did really well. The golf camp he attended last week must have really helped. Kenny was impressed with how much he had improved since the last time they were at the driving range.
