Poor Cars has had a tough week. First, he came down with Strep throat on Wednesday. He was so sick, and for a kid who is usually so "up", it seems especially bad when he is "down". After a trip to the doctor and some antibiotics (the NASTIEST antibiotics I have ever tasted by the way...he threw them up twice before I took them back to the pharmacy for more cherry flavoring) he was feeling much better yesterday. Then, last night while Kenny and I were working in the yard, and he was hanging out on the patio, the above black eye occurred. Not exactly sure what happened, but our patio shade that we raise and lower to block the afternoon sun was in a heap on the ground and he was screaming at the top of his lungs with a very nasty, swollen eye. We iced it for a while and then he went to bed. Woke up this morning like nothing had happened. I told him he should tell people that Collier smacked him in the eye! :) The picture doesn't really do it justice...it is impressive! Well, it wasn't the first and definitely won't be the last...ahhhhh, life with two boys!!!
At least he has had VBS with friend, Cameran Simmons, this week to balance things out. He has had lots of fun. He was not happy he had to take a few sick days! :)
