Tommy's Visit...

I got a call last week from my cousin Tommy asking if we would be in town over the weekend. He flew in with a friend...he is a college student in AZ, but also has his pilot's license. We had a great visit...it was GREAT to see him and catch up. He got in early Sat morning (like 5 am!) and slept for a little while at his friend's hotel. Kenny and the boys went to pick him up at a hotel downtown (I was at a Baby Shower) and brought him back to Frisco. We loaded up for Carson's first T-ball game and headed for the ballpark. After a great game we made a pitstop at Best Buy to buy a new Wii game. Carson had earned a new game the day before by being really good for Kenny while I worked at the hospital and Kenny worked from home. This summer is going to be a bit tricky with me working and not really having a place for him to go...kind of having to wing it! Anyway, we ended up with two games (because the game Carson wanted and the game Kenny wanted were different!) and came home to play. Tommy was so sweet to Carson and gave him lots of attention, which we all know, he LOVES! Saturday night we grilled, sat on the patio, drank margaritas and visited - a very nice evening!

Sunday we took him to eat some Tex-Mex (he had to get a "fix") and then on to the airport to meet his friend, Ross. They were so sweet to let the kids (we had a friend, Isabella, in tow also) crawl all over the plane and check things out. They loved it. Carson thought it was all very neat and told me today that he thought he would be a pilot when he got bigger, like Tommy. I can not think of a better role model! :)

Playing the new Wii game...MarioCart (a driving game)! Pretty fun (and HARD - I still haven't really figured it out)...you put the remotes in a little steering wheel.

Cousins! I think the boys and Tommy are second cousins, right? If Kathy (Tommy's mom) and I are first cousins, then I think that makes them second...that is all so confusing!?
