Yesterday the boys and I headed to Fort Worth for a visit to their awesome zoo. We have been before, but it is always fun. The day started out really stormy and rainy and we were actually delayed leaving, but once we got there the weather was beautiful and their was hardly anyone there! We almost had the zoo to ourselves. We met the Buis and the Mercers there and we took Isabella with us too (since Julie is still trying to get moved/ unpacked). We had a great day - saw the animals and had a picnic lunch. The kids were great...even Collier who only got a 20 minute all day yesterday!
P.S. Em - I didn't post pics of your nephew and his friends touching a "you know what" in the petting zoo area. Carson wasn't real sure about doing it and was really tenative. Afterward, he said "Memy would not have liked that AT ALL!" :) Your welcome!

The big kids...Bella, Jackson, Knox and Carson...we also had three babies - quite the crew!
I LOVE this picture of the big kids checkin' out the flamingos!
Knox and Carson had fun being zoo guides. They were actually pretty good at reading the map. They would announce what we would be seeing next!

I loved the elephant habitat - you were SO close to these huge animals. Even Collier was mesmerized.

Happy Monkey!
The cute, but very stinky, penguins...Carson said these were his favorite.
Kate and Collier checkin out each others snacks..."what do you have over there?"
We decided this had to be "Melman", the giraffe from the Madagascar movies. Carson and Bella watched Madagascar in the car on the way to FW - kinda appropriate! :)
